Mystic Strings Harp Circle (MSHC) is a group of harpers who meet on a regular basis in the suburban Chicago, Illinois area. MSHC is a non-profit organization, and a chapter of Great Lakes Harpers (GLH) and a sub-chapter of the International Society of Folk Harpers and Craftsmen (ISFHC).

General Statement
Mystic Strings Harp Circle respects the privacy of its members and website visitors. As such, we will never disclose your personally identifiable information to any third party without your explicit consent or unless required to do so by a law enforcement agency.
While MSHC is a chapter of GLH and a sub-chapter of ISFHC, we will not pass your personally identifiable information to these organizations without your explicit consent.
Information We Collect and How We Use It
When you visit our website, we collect certain statistical data as a part of our website administration. At this time we cannot personally identify you, but we do collect information such as an IP address, web browser used, operating system, monitor resolution, pages visited, and dates and times of those visits. Our server logs automatically collect this data and we use these statistics to help us understand our visitors’ needs and improve our website.
In order to participate in some of our interactive services, MSHC must collect certain personally identifiable information. Our interactive services are strictly voluntary and include: a members-only email list, a harp forum and a contact form which is used to contact MSHC administrators.
The personally identifiable information we collect may include, but is not limited to: a name, email address, interests, location and occupation. We may also require that your browser accept cookies — a small text file placed on your computer — to enable logins and to customise your experience. If you choose not to accept cookies, you may find access to interactive services is limited. We use your personally identifiable information to grant access to our services and better understand the needs of our members.
Member Directory
MSHC maintains a member directory which may list the names, physical addresses, telephone numbers or email addresses of members that attend our monthly harp circle meetings. This directory is voluntary and members may add, amend or remove their details at any time. To add, amend or remove your details, please send your request via our contact form or speak with a Board Member at any of our monthly harp circle meetings. Our member directory is available online in a secured location and also available in printed format from a Board Member.
You should be aware that once the member directory has been distributed to other MSHC members, we no longer have control over access to your details. We ask that MSHC members refrain from sharing this information outside of our group, but we have no way to enforce this request.

Children’s Privacy
Our harp circle, website and its interactive services, are open to children under the age of thirteen. MSHC takes reasonable precautions to protect the privacy of children and their personally identifiable information inline with the Children’s Online Privacy Policy Act (COPPA).
In order to take part in our online harp forum, join our email list or be listed in our member directory, a parent/guardian of a child under the age of thirteen must sign a consent form agreeing to the use of their child’s personally identifiable information. A child under the age of thirteen may request access to these services, but it will not be granted until we receive the signed parental consent form.
Parents/guardians may download copies of the parental consent form or request a copy from a MSHC Board Member at any of the monthly harp circle meetings. We urge parents to keep a copy of our consent form for their records.

At any time, parents/guardians may request that their child’s access to interactive services and personally identifiable information be removed. Parents/guardians also have the right to review copies of their child’s personally identifiable information held by MSHC.
