Upcoming Harp Conferences

Great Lakes Harpers will be holding their biennial folk harp conference in DeKalb, IL October 6-8, 2006. The conference will be held in the Music Building on the Northern Illinois University campus. Many of us have attended this conference in the past and this year’s workshops sound as exciting as previous offerings. Members of Great Lakes Harpers should have received your mailing regarding conference details. A copy will be at the September 9th meeting for anyone who is interested and has not yet received their conference mailing or for anyone who is not a Great Lakes Harpers member.
The Southeastern Harp Weekend will be held in Asheville, NC October 13-15, 2006. It is at the Lutheridge Retreat Center. MSHC Members have attended this in the past and said it’s a rewarding experience. A copy of their flyers will be at the September 9th meeting. October is certainly busy with harp conferences this year!
