All things change; nothing perishes…

This article’s title is a quote from Ovid. Change is good! Change makes us grow and growth requires change.

Mystic Strings Harp Circle is on the verge of a transformation. Attendance at the monthly meetings has been down recently. Several ideas and suggestions have come out in web forum discussions and during the June meeting. However, we need more specific comments from the membership as a whole.

In an effort to ensure that Mystic Strings Harp Circle is meeting the desires of its membership, we have set out to find out exactly what each of us want from a harp circle experience. What is not working and what is causing attendance to fall? Do we meet too often? Do we meet at an inconvenient time or place? Are we more structured (ie, ensemble) than some want? Are we not structured enough (ie, too social)?

Mystic Strings started as an idea with a handful of people. We have the important task before us to determine what is needed to keep our harps singing together.

In an effort to do so, Carol Hall has designed a survey for our membership. She has emailed each member a website link where the survey can be filled out online. The survey is not long and takes only a few moments to complete. All members are encouraged to provide their input on how to guide Mystic Strings future. The survey must be completed by August 8th.
